Fostering the connection of horses to themselves and the people who love them!

Services

  • If you have questions about what I offer or which offerings might be the best fit for you, this is the best place to start. We’ll spend 30min discussing any questions you have and what you want to get out of the work we’d do together!

  • This work is a bridge over the gap between bodywork and regular training.

When we work together, my goal is to support and empower you with tools and strategies that you can work into your everyday routines. After an initial assessment, we will be able to help your horse find more dynamic movement and proprioceptive strategies that work for them.

Traditional fitness and training often looks at what the horse can do. But horses are so athletic and amazing at hiding discomfort. It’s less about “that” they can do something and more about how. By building those dynamic movement and proprioceptive strategies, we can help our horses move better, carry us more comfortably and stay sounder for longer!

All sessions are highly customized to you and your horse, meeting you both where you are at and building from there.

**Holistic Equine balancing is not a substitute for vet care and I am not able to diagnose illness in a session.**

  • Clinics are a great way to get immersed in the work and have fun with it alongside others!

Over two days we’ll discuss, why this work is important for all horses, why your horses feedback is so crucial, complete a comprehensive assessment and learn how to play (yes play) with neuromuscular repatterning work!

Interested in bringing HEB to your area? Let’s chat! Submit the Clinic Host Request Form and I’ll reach out ASAP!

  • In these sessions I will connect with your animal and ask permission to meld energy fields. Once I do this I can help them with sources of tension and imbalance as well as any emotional or energetic blocks that are impacting them.

I can do anything in a remote session that I can do in person and some animals prefer remote sessions!

The first step is to complete the Remote Bodywork Session Request Form and I will reach out with next steps!

    Price-$150/session

**Remote Bodywork is not a substitute for vet care and I am not able to diagnose illness in a session.**

Ab out Me

Hello! I’m Julie and I live in Colorado Springs with my two cats, Oliva and Elliot, and my Haflinger, Tyrion. I have loved animals since the day I was born and started riding at age 8. I grew up riding hunter/jumpers and have also had instruction in dressage, eventing, working cow horse and reining.

I have a bachelors degree in Equine Science from the University of Arizona and am a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner as well as a former Masterson Method Instructor and Fieldwork Coach/Mentor. I also have additional training in Myofacial Release, Craniosacral Therapy and Massage along with countless hours of hands on experience rehabbing very dysfunctional horses (80% OTTB’s). I regularly read “nerd books”, research papers, text books and attend webinars. While the hands on work I do is bodywork and somatic/neuromuscular repatterning, I also keep up on research regarding current practices with trimming/farriery, dentistry, nutrition, movement science and ethology in order to be able to holistically evaluate what’s going on with client horses! I also worked as a vet tech in my 20’s and am skilled at triaging and will recommend other care team members weigh in on a given situation as appropriate.

As much as I love science, I am also highly intuitive and have spent the last couple of years getting back in touch with and honing my abilities in animal communication which has allowed me to do bodywork remotely. Both the science and intuitive pieces are equally important in the work that I do, as giving the horse agency and voice in their own treatment and work is essential to helping them be the best version of themselves!

Above all, I am a student of the horse and they continue to teach me new things and send me down new rabbit holes all the time!
